The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday blamed the Congress for the poor condition of the Dalits and minorities in the country, holding the grand old party's 'vote bank politics' responsible for the same.

"The Congress vote bank ideology is the reason that has resulted in a situation where Dalits and minorities have not developed in the country," said BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra.

Patra further said that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who is going to interact with the Dalit community at Dr. BR Ambedkar's birthplace, Mhow, practises 'politics of posture'.
