Lok Sabha adjourned after obituary notices were read. The Delhi High Court (Amendment) Bill had been listed for passing in the lower house. The house will take up the day’s scheduled business tomorrow.

Rajya Sabha saw repeated disruptions throughout the day. Opposition parties raised demands seeking the resignation of the Minister of External Affairs in relation to the allegations made against her regarding Lalit Modi’s travel documents. In this context, the Leader of the House agreed to discuss the issue and informed members that the concerned Minister has also agreed to make a clarificatory statement.

The Appropriation Acts (Repeal) Bill, 2015 was listed in the upper house’s business for today. Since the house was unable to function, it remains to be seen if the legislation will be taken up tomorrow.
