"12 have died and 25 were injured in Madhya Pradesh twin train derailment. The Railway Minister has expressed condolences to family of deceased," Indian Railways Public Relation Officer (PRO) Anil Saxena told ANI.

"He has announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to family of deceased,Rs 50,000 to critically injured & Rs 25000 to injured," he added.

He also said that Commissioner Railway Safety will probe into the mishap which claimed 27 lives and critically injured 25 people.
