"The earthquake, which was felt in the northern part of India, it was having the epicenter in Afghanistan, 210 kilometres in Hindukush area. Because of the depth, it was felt in a very large area. The magnitude on the Richter Scale was 6.2. There are no reports of destruction as such till now," P.R. Baidya (Scientist, NCS), told ANI.
No loss of life and property has been reported.
