Woman killed by TV tycoon Peter Mukherjea's wife was her daughter, claims victim's brother

Former Star India CEO Peter Mukherjea's wife Indrani was arrested on Tuesday for her alleged role in her sister Sheena Bora murder in 2012. The case dates back to 2012 of the murder case registered against unidentified persons after Raigad police found the remains of Indrani's sister Sheena Bora.

While the earlier reports stated that Indrani Mukherjea was accused of murdering her sister, Mumbai Police have come forward confirming that the victim was not her sister but her daughter.

Sheena's brother Mikhail Bora claimed that he is sure that Sheena was killed and confirmed that both Sheena and he are Indrani's children. Stating that he was not able to establish contact with his sister since 2004, Mikhail said that Indrani claimed that Sheena was abroad, busy with her studies. He also added that Indrani had not been in touch with him since 2014.

Sources claim that Indrani and her driver killed Sheena and disposed off the body after getting involved in a property dispute. Both have been booked under Sections 302 (murder), 363 (kidnapping) and 201 (destroying evidence) of the Indian Penal Code. The accused were produced in the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate's court on Tuesday and will remain under custody till August 31.
