The Telugu Desam Party opened its account in Andaman Nicobar elections

Here is a piece of good news for the supporters of Telugu Desam party. The TDP has managed to make its presence felt in the local body polls in Andaman and Nicobar islands.


In the elections that were held in Andaman and Nicobar Islands for 24 wards on September 19, the TDP managed to get 2 wards, while the DMK, AIADMK won one seat each. BJP won 10 seats, Congress 6 wards and others 4 seats.


Speaking on the results, Deputy CM Nimmakayala China Rajappa said that this is the first victory in Andaman under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu. "With this inspiration, TDP will contest in other states and grow as a national party," he added.
