The BJP has strongly condemned Deka’s remarks. “It was a “shameful assertion” by the Congress leader towards Irani,” BJP general secretary Ram Madhav said.
Union Sports Minister and Assam unit BJP chief Sarbananda Sonowal told reporters, “It reflects the polluted and perverted mind of the Congress”, said.
“We demand immediate expulsion of Deka and Kurmi from Congress and strongest possible exemplary punishment to them for making such statements against a popular PM,” he said.
