Yes, the Modi government is working on a proposal to have the images of Swami Vivekananda and Ambedkar on the currency notes along with Gandhi. If that happens, Gandhi will have to share space with other national leaders. The currency notes in US, UK and other countries have pictures of several prominent leaders. But, in India, since 1996, we have only Gandhi's image.
If Modi has his way, soon the notes may have other national heroes also.
