Pathankot attack exposes chinks in security set up: Tarun Gogoi
Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday said that the Pathankot attack by Pakistan terrorists has exposed the chinks in the country’s security set up and called for overhaul of the security set up to foil the sinister designs of certain forces who are out to tear asunder the territorial integrity of the country.

In a statement Gogoi said the Pathankot attack by Pakistan terrorists has exposed the chinks in the country’s security set up and took the Modi-led Government completely unawares.
Moreover, the attack came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s surprise stopover in Lahore to meet his counterpart Nawaz Sharif to create bonhomie and camaraderie literally caught the Prime Minister on the wrong foot.
“In the wake of the Pathankot attack, the Modi-led Government has to overhaul the internal security to foil the sinister designs of forces inimical to the country’s territorial integrity. It calls for serious introspection and is an eye-opener for Modi-led Government,”Gogoi said.
