Make in India AK47 assault rifles soon

Some samples have been delivered to India for tests and after they are finished, we are ready to continue our cooperation in this field," said Sergey Goreslavsky, deputy director general of Rosoboronexport. He was speaking at a media interaction at the ongoing DefExpo 2016 in south Goa's Betul village.
Rosoboronexport is the sole Russian state intermediary agency responsible for the import and export of a full range of defence and dual-use end products, technologies and services.Meanwhile, Russian Helicopters is close to signing a long-term maintenance agreement with the Defence Ministry to provide after sales service for the entire fleet of Mi-17 helicopters, said the foreign firm.
The agreement will be for the entire life cycle of the fleet and marks a shift from the earlier approach to the provision of after sales support, said a statement issued here on Tuesday by Rostec, a Russian government-run defence corporation that owns Russian Helicopters.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) received in January the last three helicopters out of a total order of 48 Russian Mi-17 helicopters. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday said defence equipment and weapons cannot be sourced 100 percent from the private sector.
