At least nine people were died and eight others injured when they electrocuted in Upper Assam Tinsukia district on Monday.
Guwahati: At least nine people were died and eight others injured when they electrocuted in Upper Assam Tinsukia district on Monday.
According to reports, the incident took place at Pengeri area, when local people protest in a murder case.
The protesters electrocuted after a bullet hit an electric line which fired by a security personnel.
The injured persons immediately rushed to nearest hospital where at least nine persons succumbed their injuries.
Top police and local administration officials had rushed to the area.
More reports are awaited.
