Assam’s former Chief Minister and AGP leader Prafulla Kumar Mahanta on Wednesday said that, Congress has given him a proposal to make a non-BJP government in the state.

Guwahati: Assam’s former Chief Minister and AGP leader Prafulla Kumar Mahanta on Wednesday said that Congress has given him a proposal to make a non-BJP government in the state.

Referring to the Congress proposal, Mahanta said that, his stand always against the Congress and the BJP alliance will form the next government in the state.

“Recently Congress had given me a proposal to make a non-BJP government in the state. A minister of the state government had also given me the CM post to make a non-BJP government. But I refused it. My stand is always against the Congress,” Mahanta said.

“BJP ally will cross the magic number and form the next government,” Mahanta Said.

“People of Assam want to change this time and it had reflected in the record voter turnout,” the former CM said.

On the other hand, the top leaders of the regional party had discussed the recently held poll at the party office in Guwahati on Wednesday.
