Khadi sales have gone up by 90 percent in the last one year which has turned beneficial in terms of employment to many poor families.
During Dhanteras, Delhi's Khadi Gramodyog witnessed sales of one crore rupees.
Recalling his experience of celebrating Diwali with the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir's Gurez, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the soldiers on behalf of the country.
