New Delhi: After reports of Canada and America barring Indian officials' entry in Gurdwaras, emerged, the vice president of Delhi's Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Harmeet Kalka, called for a dialogue to resolve the matter.

"This is absolutely wrong. Their thoughts and opinions are wrong when it comes to religion because in our religion, nobody is stopped to visit to the Gurudwara. If you have noticed, there are many doors in the Gurudwaras which indicate that people of every religion are welcomed there. This thing will be solved only through a dialogue. From our side, everybody is welcomed to Gurudwara," she told ANI.

Last week, 14 Gurudwaras were reportedly closed down for the Indian officials in Canada's Ontario province and 16 more were reported to bar officials' entry to the place of worship.

The American Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (AGPC) claimed that at least 96 Gurudwaras, located across the US have passed a resolution, banning the entry of officials in the Gurudwaras.

However, United Kingdom's Conservative Party leader Ranbir Singh Puri quashed the reports of UK planning to bar Indian officials entry in Gurudwaras.
