Foot over bridge inaugurated at Hoodi Railway Station, commuters appreciate efforts

 ​BENGALURU: In a welcome change for suburban rail commuters, especially IT employees, the foot overbridge (FOB) at Hoodi halt railway station near Whitefield was inaugurated.

A long pending demand of commuters was fulfilled when the bridge was inaugurated, here, on Wednesday. The station had witnessed many fatal accidents when people tried to cross the tracks since it's inauguration in September 2017. The station was developed with MPLAD funds. A total of Rs 3.1crore was spent on the project, including establishing ticket counters and toilets.The widened level crossing gate no. 132 at Carmelaram, was inaugurated on the same day. The development comes as a relief to thousands of people residing in the IT corridor in the neighborhood.
