With the ongoing tussle between the Congress party and the Bharatiya Janata Party for the championship in 2014 general elections, the two parties have been opting special strategies with the only aim of gaining reins. As part of their strategy, the BJP is looking for the reunion of old friends. With the recent reunion of Yeddyurappa in the party, now, there arises a question whether it will benefit the party or ruin the party.
B.S. Yeddyurappa has been facing lot many cases of corruption in his home state, Karnataka. It has been the main cause for his recent debacle in the Karnataka state elections held in May 2013. However, it is not a denying factor that Yeddyurappa has been the first BJP Chief Minister of the state and has enormous popularity. Despite the fact that he has been a very popular figure of the state, he could not bounce back with a win in the 2013 elections of the state assembly for sundry reasons.

Now, inside the party cadre, there is a question making rounds whether rejoining of Yeddyurappa will fetch the added gains or will ruin the party in their vested interests. Despite the fact that Yeddyurappa has been a very popular leader in the state of Karnataka, he equally gets discouraged by many corruption cases that wreck his image.
There will not be any gain with the rejoining of Yeddyurappa in the BJP. However, the reflected gain the Congress party has seen in the form of splitting of voters in Karnataka state elections can now be avoided with the rejoining of Yeddyurappa in 2014 general elections. In many ways the elections for the center will differ from state assembly elections.
Let there will be a gain or loss, but the BJP is moving ahead with rejuvenated power. The confidence of the party winning the battle is high at this time.
