Bridegroom receives acid burns

Nizamabad: A bridegroom and his friend received acid burns when they were attacked while they were purchasing flowers just a day before the marriage on Thursday. According to the Station House Officer of One Town Police Station, Yadaiah, the brother-in-law of the bride, Khaleem, who wanted to marry her, attacked the bridegroom, Shaik Moize, and his friend, Shaik Wasin, while they were purchasing flowers for the marriage near the railway station. According to the police, Khaleem married the bride's sister but wanted to marry her also and was threatening those who came forward to marry her. Yadaiah said the bridegroom received severe acid burns on the face and was getting treatment in the hospital.
