After launching 'Indiramma Kalalu' programme at Vinayak Nagar Colony in Nizamabad town on Wednesday, Ms Christina Z Chongthu said that the awareness programme on SC, ST Sub-Plan would be held in all 50 divisions of Nizamabad Municipal Corporation and it would be continued till April 30. She said that with the implementation of SC, ST Sub-Plan, all the ST and SC colonies would be developed by providing facilities like drinking water supply, separate sewerage lines, CC roads, electricity supply and individual toilets. Moreover, the ration cards, pensions and Indiramma houses and other welfare schemes will be sanctioned to those families who are living in SC and ST Colonies in the district. BJP MLA Yendala Laxmi Narayana appreciated the State Government for enacting the SC, ST Sub-Plan with a separate budget for the uplift of SCs and STs and hoped that the Sub-Plan would bridge the gap in development between SCs and STs and other sections of the people. Ms Christina Z Chongthu said the district administration had already sent a proposal to the Government seeking the sanction of another 6,000 pensions and 8,000 ration cards in the district and hoped that the Government would clear the file soon.
