Nizamabad: In-Charge Collector K Harshavardhan directed the municipal officials to maintain hygiene in the town. Addressing a review meeting here on Wednesday at the camp office with the municipal officials, he advised the officials to utilise the services of municipal workers in a proper manner to keep the town clean.

The officials should see that the municipal workers, who clean the drains and collect the garbage, came by 5.30 am.
Special groups should be set up to take the garbage, he suggested. Similarly, wireless sets should be given to the sanitary inspectors, who oversee the work of municipal workers, he opined.

Over 50 acres of land was allocated by the government for the dumping yard in the town, he recalled. In fact, he urged the officials concerned to prepare a master plan for parking lot, workshop, servicing centre and other facilities at the dumping yard. In-Charge Collector K Harshavardhan ordered the officials to prepare the plan after seeing the dumping yards in our State and other States, which were built with modern technology, and submit a report so that a good dumping yard would be constructed in the town.

Municipal Commissioner Mangathayaru, Municipal Health Officer Sirajuddin, executive engineer Nageshwar Rao, Rasheed and others attended the meeting.
