Hyderabad to Host ISRO Sports Meet, ISRO Sports Meet-2013. The ten-day event, being organized by National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad, and to be held in separate phases, features competitions in ten disciplines, including cricket, football, ball badminton, tenni-koit, hockey, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi and tennis.
Hyderabad: An estimated 1000 athletes drawn from 12 constituent centres will be seen in action in the Inter-Centre ISRO Sports Meet-2013 that gets underway at the HAL and NRSC grounds in Balanagar here on Thursday.
The ten-day event, being organized by National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad, and to be held in separate phases, features competitions in ten disciplines, including cricket, football, ball badminton, tenni-koit, hockey, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi and tennis.
The meet will be inaugurated by Dr Vinay Kumar Dadhwal, Director, NRSC. The participating teams include Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum; Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota; ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore; Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad; Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, Mahedragiri; Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad; Master Control Facility, Hassan; ISRO telemetry and Tracking Centre, Bangalore; Semi-Conductor Laboratory, Chandigarh; Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun; Bangalore Based Units, Bangalore and host NRSC.
