IPL 7 won't have cheerleaders, A comittee formed by BCCI has recommended ten changes in total which includes no presence of cheer leaders in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier

A comittee formed by BCCI has recommended ten changes in total which includes no presence of cheer leaders in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL7) in the wake of spot-fixing scandal.

Mr Savant who is also vice-president of the Mumbai Cricket Association said last evening "There will be no cheer girls in the IPL matches". He was here to attend the prize distribution ceremony of an inter-university Twenty20 tournament organised by the city-based Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.
IPL-6 had witnessed a spate of match fixing scandals as a result of which a panel headed by veteran cricket administrator Jagmohan Dalmiya, was asked to suggest steps to prevent incidents like spot fixing in the BCCI-run league.
"All the recommendations of the committee have been accepted and will be implemented from IPL-7 onwards," Savant said.
The cash-rich seventh edition of the IPL is scheduled in April-May next year.
