Having lost only two games in the League, the Chennai Slam kept their calm all through the tournament and swiftly won the title for the second time.  They had won the championship in 2015 while in the second season Chennai emerged as runners up.

Pune: Chennai Slam beat Punjab Steelers 69-59 in best of three finals of the UBA Pro Basketball League Season 3 at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Sunday. Chennai won the championship by taking a 2-1 lead in the best of three finals.

Punjab Steelers failed to repeat Saturday's performance and were lagging behind through each quarter in this decisive game three of the championship series.
Chennai Slam, despite injuries to Jairam and Gopal, maintained their grip on the game.

Punjab's star player Garry was subdued and they needed him to be in his elements in the later stages of the match if they fancied taking home the championship. Jairam displayed exemplary spirit as he played 25 minutes with an injury and was key to Chennai Slams' scheme of play.
