##BIG-IMAGE# Vijayawada: Krishna district girl teams established their lead in the inter-district School Games Federation of India (SGFI) wrestling championship. Under-17 girl (70 kg category) G Leela Kumari won the gold medal. In boys section, Krishna district wrestler J Rama Bhaskar won the gold medal.

School games inter-district wrestling championship is being conducted by SGFI Krishna district at Telaprolu ZP High School in Vijayawada. Krishna girls were leading in seven events out of ten. U-17 girls Divya Sai (40 kg), Pavani (65 kg) and Kiranmai (80 kg) entered into finals.

According to SGFI Krishna district secretary K Purushottam, State wrestling teams would be selected after completion of the tournament. These teams would participate in national wrestling tournament, he said. The prize distribution function would be held on Wednesday, he added.
