Hyderabad: The 13th Rev FR Devasia Inter-School chess tournament got-off to a flying start in the Bowenpally premises of St Andrews High School here on Tuesday. St Andrews School, Jubilee Hills Public School, Sadhu Vasvani International School and Unicent High School opened the points tally with fluent wins over their respective opponents. A total of 13 boys and 10 girls’ teams are participating in the tournament that was earlier inaugurated by A Narasimha Reddy, President of Telangana State Chess Association (TSCA).

Results-Boys: Chirec Pubic School drew with Pallavi Model School; Secunderabad Public School lost to St Andrews (A); Jubilee Hills Public School bt Udbhav School; NSKK lost to St Andrews (B); Hindu Public School lost to Sadhu Vaswani; St Andrews (Keesara) lost to St Andrews (B); Unicent High School got a bye; Girls: Jubilee Hills Public School bt Hindu Public School; NSSK lost to Sadhu Vaswani; Chirec drew Pallavi Model School; St Andrews (Keesara) drew St Andrews (A); St Andrews (B) bt Udbhav School.
