Bhimavaram: Rajahmundry girl P Chari proved her class while defeating Anantapur’s B Shreshtha in a closely contested cadet girls title clash in the 4th Andhra Pradesh State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament-2016, being organised by Cosmopolitan Club, here on Friday.
The cadet boys finals was a close affair and went the distance. Kush Jain from Vijayawada had the last laugh in the clash against city-mate M Venkatakartikeya before eventually clinching the thriller with a 3-2 verdict.
Results: Finals-Cadet girls: P Chari (RJY) bt B Shreshtha (ATP) 11-9, 8-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-6; Cadet boys: Kush Jain (VJA) bt M Venkatakartikeya (VJA) 8-11, 11-9, 12-14, 13-11, 11-6.
