New Delhi: A local cricketer Mohit Ahlawat scored an unbeaten 300 in just 72 balls with 39 sixes and 14 boundaries. Mohit’s innings led his side to post a mammoth score of 416 in 20 overs.

Mohit’s historic feat registered a record win by 216 runs in a local T20 tournament at Delhi’s Lalita Park while playing for Maavi XI against Friend’s XI.

A 21-year old wicket-keeper batsman, Mohit scored the last 50 runs of his 300 in 12 balls as his score was 250 at the end of the 18th over. Apart from Mohit, Gaurav went on score 86 runs for Maavi XI.

Among the most memorable T20 knocks is the 277 off 72 balls scored by the Sri Lankan player Dhanuka Pathirana in a T20 league in Lancashire, England. He smashed 29 sixes and 18 fours in that match.

The highest score of T20 cricket (not including club cricket) belongs to West Indian batsman Chris Gayle who had slammed an unbeaten 175 runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013. In T20 Internationals, Australia's Aaron Finch holds the record most runs in an innings by smashing 156 against England in 2013.
