District Sports Authority is working overtime to groom up national players representing the state and district in particular to join the National Olympic Team in multiple disciplines like basket ball, shuttle badminton and Archery for participation in the 33rd International Olympics to be held in 2024 at Paris in France
Anantapur: District Sports Authority is working overtime to groom up national players representing the state and district in particular to join the National Olympic Team in multiple disciplines like basket ball, shuttle badminton and Archery for participation in the 33rd International Olympics to be held in 2024 at Paris in France.
To this end the Sports Authority indoor stadium in Ashoknagar has emerged as the nerve centre for coaching in Basket Ball game and even in other multiple disciplines.. Sports Development Officer Jaganadha who is taking keen interest in nurturing school children of today into sports persons of tomorrow.
Every day about 60-70 high school and junior college going students both boys and girls would come for a rigorous training for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening. The students hail from both government and private colleges in the town.
