Paris: At French Open all the Indian shuttlers crashed out of the quarterfinals. Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth and Saina Nehwal lost after suffering straight-game defeats in their respective matches as India's campaign ended in the singles events at the BWF World Tour Super 750 tournament here.

On Friday night third seed Sindhu lost 13-21 16-21 in 40 minutes against seventh seed Bingjiao of China. This year it was Sindhu's second straight loss at the hands of the Chinese shuttler after her straight-game defeat in Indonesia Open in July. After this win, Bingjiao established a record to 7-5 against the Indian.

Saina Nehwal lost to World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei, in another quarterfinal encounter 20-22 11-21. Things got worse for India when fifth seed Srikanth who played well but ultimately lost against top seed Kento Momota of Japan. Srikanth tried his best in both the games but failed to reach the finishing line, losing 16-21 19-21 to slouch to his seventh consecutive and fifth straight loss this year against the Japanese opponent.
