Hubbali: The 13th World Railway Cycling Championship - 2018 was organised at Bikaner, Rajasthan from Nov 13-15. Railway Cycling Teams from eight countries- Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Great Britain, Norway, Russia and India participated in this championship.

Sandesh Uppar, Ticket Examiner working at Bagalkot South Western Railway was part of Indian team who participated in World Railway Cycling Championship for a distance of 40 KM that was held on Tuesday.

It is a historic occasion for Indian Railways to hoist this World Cycling championship. It was a glorious moment for Sandesh Uppar to bag silver medal amid tough competition. The aim of this tournament is to encourage sports culture in Indian Railways and motivate players to perform better.
