    Hyderabad: The final training session for IDBI Federal Quest for Excellence #YoungChampsprogramme will begin from Friday at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad. The #YoungChampsprogramme was launched with an aim to promote badminton at the grass-roots level and provide a platform for budding players in India.

    The 14 selected #YoungChamps – 1) Naishaa Kaur Bhatoye, Mumbai; 2 D. Anudheep, Hyderabad; 3 Sakshi Prakash, Dubai; 4 R Sphoorty, Hyderabad; 5 Vansh Dev, New Delhi; 6 Showrya Kiran, Hyderabad; 7 Shanay Patel, Ahmedabad; 8 Sai Praavin S, Coimbatore; 9 A Bhavesh Reddy, Telangana; 10 Pawan Suresh, Karnataka; 11 TushitKejriwal, Odisha; 12 Abhinav Garg, Bangalore; 13 RiyanMalhan, Dubai; 14 CharanSimha Reddy, Hyderabad - will undergo an intensive two weeks of training under the guidance of legendary badminton player and coach Pullela Gopichand, along with his team of coaches.

    The budding players underwent the first round of training under Pullela Gopichand and his eminent coaches during the month of May. The training encompassed techniques to enhance their performance, and key routine work-outs, providing them the platform to grow professionally.

    In the upcoming training session the skills of the #YoungChamps will be further strengthened and refined and will also get the opportunity to interact with the country’s top national and international players at the academy, which will inspire and encourage them to attain their goals.

    Pullela Gopichand, Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton team and Programme Head, IDBI Federal Quest For Excellence said: “Indians have emerged as champions in various international tournaments in recent years. The #YoungChamps initiative of IDBI Federal Life Insurance will help in identifying the next crop of youngsters who can carry forward this winning trend. All the 14 players have shown the potential to be champions in the future, and this upcoming training session will be utilised to provide them with the expertise to hone their skills further."

    The two-week training session will lead to the selection of just a handful of budding players who will get the exclusive opportunity for training permanently at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy through the IDBI Federal Quest For Excellence #YoungChampsprogramme.
