She was featured in 'The Globe' and 'Mail' as India's "Blogging Princess". Huffington Post called her 'India's Most Famous Blogger' last year. A And justly so! Malini Agarwal's bollywood celebrity blog 'Miss Malini' enjoys over half a million visitors a month!A Askari Jaffer blogShe was a Radio Jockey for nine years before her stint as a VJ with MTV and Channel V. Her only claim to writing was a column for Mid Day. It was only when she took a small break from the column that she realised how much she missed writing. "One of my friend suggested that I should try my hand at blogging and this was at a time when I didn't know what a blog was? I started blogging in 2008 as a hobby and named it 'MissMalini'. I did it for fun because I love writing and I had no idea that it would soon become my whole world," says Malini Agarwal who is hailed as the "Blogging Princess' and "India's most famous blogger". The blog provides a steady diet of bollywood gossip, fashion, food and entertainment. Her blog brings the stars and lifestyle accessible to the readers; especially the facets of their lives which do not find a mention in other media. What is it about the blog that appeals to netizens despite the several other options on the World Wide Web? "I think that people like my blog because it's just not about bollywood news or about who was where or just about events. It has a little story, because I have been in media for so long and I go to the parties and my blog takes you inside those parties and events and gives you a fly-on-the-wall perspective. I respond to feed back and I communicate on twitter, facebook and google plus and interact with my readers a lot. I think all this makes a big difference," says Malini who uses all that she has seen and learnt through the 15 years of being in the entertainment and media industry. Over the years her blog has evolved into a one stop entertainment destination for all things bollywood, fashion and lifestyle with a desi girl twist! "Now I have a team of writers and photographers who cover events and write about everything relevant to my audience. Half a million visitors visit my blog per month. So far the challenges have only been a part of the fun and entertainment," says the 35-year old blogger who was hailed as "Without A Doubt, India's Most Famous Blogger" by the Huffington Post.
