Hyderabad: A new survey carried out by TCS on the Social Media use reveals that the teenaged youths of Hyderabad are more netizenic as far as the social media usage and online shopping is concerned, and as compared to rest all cities in India. Though it is mandatory to be more than 18yrs to have access to FB media, about 83% of minors aged 12 to 18 in Hyderabad have FB accounts, reportedly.

According to this survey report, the other metro cities have less number of kids of the same age group who own a FB account. Nevertheless, the difference is not great. Interestingly, the time spent by the Hyderabadies on FB account turns to be low as compared to the users from other metros. The Results of ibid survey brings out the fact that nearly 83 percent high-school students in the age group of 12 to 18 from Hyderabad have Facebook accounts, while only 44 percent have Twitter accounts. A vast 83 per cent of Hyderabad teenagers shop online while it is just 68 per cent in other metros cumulatively. Mini metros trail marginally behind at 67 per cent of respondents indulging in online shopping. Most of the online shopping is for movie tickets, clothes and accessories, added the report.
