The UN invited all member states to observe this day by encouraging global exchanges of television programs focusing on issues such as economic and social development, peace, security and cultural change enhancements.
World Television Day reminds people about the positive side of the TV who thinks it is an “Idiot Box”. The day also recognizes that television plays a very important role in presenting the different issues that affect society. Television is one of the most influential forms of media for communication and information propagation. It is used to screen freedom of expressions and to increase cultural diversity.
On this occasion, e-Flipkart is hosting a World TV Day sale starting from November 21 to November 25, 2018. Flipkart has partnered with Google to offer certified Android TV to the customers by exchanging their old TV.
