Airtel's new Rs 1,699 annual prepaid plan Vs Reliance Jio's Rs 1,699 plan

 New Delhi: The telecom operators are now focusing on yearly plans after revising and launching new monthly plans. Country’s second largest telecom operator, Airtel has launched an annual plan of Rs 1,699 to give tough competition to the Rs 1,699 plan of Reliance Jio.

The latest annual plan is available in all the telecom circles. Under this plan, the telco offers 1GB of data per day with unlimited local and national calling. The plan has a validity of 365 days including SMS benefits. Also provides free access to a premium content subscription of Airtel TV app.

Whereas the Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator offers 1.5GB data per day with 100 SMS and unlimited local and national calling as part of its annual app of Rs 1,699. Apart from this, the plan also offers free access to Jio Suite apps which include JioTV, JioCinema and others.

While both Vodafone and Idea Cellular also offer an annual plan of Rs 1,499 to their subscribers. As per the plan of Rs 1,499, the service providers gives unlimited calling and SMS facility. The plan also offers 1GB data per day as part of the plan. If the Vodafone users exhaust the daily FUP data limit then the users need to pay 50 paise per MB in order to access high-speed internet.  On the other hand, the Idea Cellular subscribers need to pay Rs 4 per MB to access internet after the exhaustion of the daily limit of 1GB.
