Hyderabad: ESL Narasimhan, the common governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, on Wednesday, addressed either house in the state assembly. He started his speech in Telugu and announced many boons to the families of the martyrs of Telangana agitation. The following are the boons announced to the victimised families.
- Rs 10L ex gratia to every martyr’s family
- A government job for each family of martyr
- Free Education to the family members of martyrs
In his address, Narasimhan made it a mention that the existing Thandas would be converted into Village Panchayats. He mentioned that lakhs of families in Telangana were below the poverty line; such families would be raised up. He said that for the welfare of BC, SC and ST communities Rs 1L cr would be spent.
The governor promised to get the 2BHK homes constructed with an expenditure of Rs3L per unit for the poor. Also, Rs 100cr will be spent towards the welfare of the advocates. The corpus fund for the journalists has been announced as Rs 10cr. The pension for the physically handicapped has been announced as Rs 1500 p.m.
