Hyderabad: Going on with the alleged attacking of the Telangana language in its specific dialect and for insulting the Telangana State Assembly and its legislators besides broadcasting spiteful half-truths against the Telangana government, the Telangana Cable TV operators have decided to close down the transmission of TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothy channels in Telangana state for an indefinite period.

All the Cable Television operators under the shade of Telangana MSO Association gathered together in Hyderabad on Monday and decided to block the mentioned two Telugu channels - TV9 and ABN.

Later, they urged all the media organisations not to adopt an anti-Telangana stand for giving positive coverage to AP. They said they have no objection if media groups present facts, but they would not tolerate false misinformation against Telangana.

Subhash Reddy, the president of MSOs, said that both these channels have already been blocked in some areas and the shutdown has been extended to the entire state with an immediate effect on Monday.

It is worth recollecting that there was a special mention about the alleged malicious transmission of propaganda by KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana, in the state assembly during the just concluded assembly session.
