T Santhosh Reddy, the president of Telangana Cabs Owner’s and Drivers Association, and S. Bagi Reddy, the Chief Secretary, have announced that they would go on an indefinite strike from midnight on Friday.

A pamphlet has been released on Wednesday at their SMS of Domal Guda in Hyderabad. Later, they addressed the media and said that the present tariff was not benefitting them in any way. They said all expenses towards the diesel, maintenance, insurance and salaries have been hiked and they were not in a position to meet out the needs.

They said that ultimately they have been dragged into the mire of debts. They said though it was decided to go on strike w.e.f. May 20, due to the assurance given by vendors, the same was revoked temporarily. Nevertheless, the same has not been fulfilled, so they said that they were forced to go on strike.
