According to sources, after Nagarjuna, next in the pipeline is none other than Lagadapati Raja Gopal, an ex-MP of Congress Party, who recently became more popular as Pepper Spray Lagadapati Rajagopal after the dreadful incident happened inside the Lok Sabha. Government is looking into the details of Raja Gopal’s Lanco Hills, added sources. The mentioned land in Manikonda was owned by Lanco group in an auction that happened during regime of late YSR.
The existing allegations on Lagadapati Rajagopal mention that some of this land is encroached from the wakf board and the assignment of such lands done by YSR government to this group was rather illegal. During the second phase of Telangana movement, Lagadapati was one among the many leaders who strongly opposed the state bifurcation. The main reason for such opposition was his alleged illegal possession of lands in Manikonda.
It is worth recollecting that Akkineni Nagrajuna, a prominent Tollywood actor has already got fixed for alleged illegal construction of a building in the name N-Convention in 9 acres of the land assigned to Gurukul Trust. Reportedly, Nagarjuna gets an income of more than Rs 1cr with this infrastructure.
What sensational decision would be undertaken by KCR after completing the demolition of the selected buildings is a matter of suspense as of now!! But, if the buzz is to be believed his next target is Lagadapati Rajagopal.
