Swamy Goud to be Telangana Legislative Council’s New Chairman. If the buzz is to be believed, all is set ready for Swamy Goud to become the Chairman of Telangana State Legislative Council, with the joining of as many as 9 MLCs in the party from various other parties. The strength of TRS party has increased to 15 in the council with the recent addition of 2+9 MLCs in the council.
Hyderabad: If the buzz is to be believed, all is set ready for Swamy Goud to become the Chairman of Telangana State Legislative Council, with the joining of as many as 9 MLCs in the party from various other parties. The strength of TRS party has increased to 15 in the council with the recent addition of 2+9 MLCs in the council.
There are as many as 32 sitting-in MLCs in the council. If the support of two more MLCs is obtained, there will be no hurdle for the TRS Party candidate (supposedly - Swami Goud) to become the chairman of the council.
From the other end, the Congress Party has also been striving hard to retain the chairman post. To discuss the feasibility of the very issue, reportedly, the Congress Party senior leaders of the state had a meeting at Gandhi Bhavan, on Monday. Ponnala Lakshmaih, D Srinivas, Shabbir Ali and many other important leaders of the Congress Party have attended the meeting and discussed the very matter, reportedly.
It is learnt that TRS Party will be nominating Swamy Goud for the chairman’s post.
