Singapore keen on ties with Telangana, AP
Hyderabad: Singapore Keen on Ties with Telangana, AP, Singapore Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here on Thursday and discussed the possibility of cooperation in oil and gas resources in KG Basin of East Godavari district.

Hyderabad: Singapore Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here on Thursday and discussed the possibility of cooperation in oil and gas resources in KG Basin of East Godavari district.
According to official sources, the Singapore delegation also discussed cooperation in education sector and making AP corruption-free State. Earlier, the Singapore Minister called on KCR and exchanged views on various issues where the two governments could work with each other. According to a press release, KCR had sought the help of Singapore in the “reconstruction of Telangana.”
Shanmugam had earlier met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and HRD Minister Smriti Irani in Delhi on Wednesday. The Prime Minister has sought the help of Singapore’s expertise in implementing his government’s agenda of providing low-cost housing to all. Meanwhile, the HRD Minister offered Singapore to be the “guest of honour country” during next year’s New Delhi World Book Fair to be held between February 14- 22, 2015.
