Hyderabad: According to sources, Somesh Kumar, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner, has given necessary instructions to the traffic police and the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) to make out locations for raising 30 foot over bridges (FOBs) with transparent elevator facility right away.

These proposals will be placed before the standing committee for sanction as soon as the report is made ready. The commissioner held a review meeting with traffic police, RTC, ASCI and engineering officials on traffic-related issues and has asked them to prepare different models with pre-fabricated material so that they could be shifted to other locations without dismantling the structure. The proposal has been undertaken considering the increased number o hit and run cases happening in twin cities. As many as 40 cases have been registered of such kinds alone in 2013.
