It is evident that the factory was shut down by the then Congress Government in 2006, bowing to the downpour of heavy losses. The factory began its services in as early as 1964 in an area of 94 acres and remained encouraging for the sugarcane farmers of the region. Almost 22,000 framers were using the services of this factory in its good time. The farmers feel glad over the issue that the taxes for the export of sugar are waived off and restrictions are imposed on the import.
