BJP’s lonely battle
BJP’s Lonely Battle. G Kishan Reddy, the BJP President of Telangana state, has downright stated that BJP will fight alone in the looming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
G Kishan Reddy, the BJP President of Telangana state, has downright stated that BJP will fight alone in the looming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). He said BJP will contest in all the wards with out tying up alliance with any party. It is evident that the saffron party in the last elections contended in alliance with TDP. Kishan Reddy opposed the move from the start and even tried to generate several hurdles for the alliance.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has won only 5 seats in the General Elections and the failure for the same has been attributed to the tying up of alliance with TDP, at several instances by Kishan Reddy. The political experts opine that it may not be proven a wise decision as TDP enjoys good popularity among the settlers in Hyderabad. Votes may be split between TDP and BJP which may benefit other parties, as opined by them. Nevertheless, it is learnt that the decision is not final as BJP High Command may intervene in the matter yet again!!
