Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has reportedly promised party leaders who failed to find a berth in the cabinet on June 2 that the cabinet would be expanded shortly.

Senior party leaders claim that KCR told them that he would expand the Cabinet in about a week’s time. There are six vacancies and KCR would be accommodating one or two women members in the cabinet.

It is learnt that the Chief Minister KCR is keen on having representation from all districts and hence MLAs from Mahabubnagar and Khammam districts would get their share.

The list would be finalised after calculating various factors like caste, creed, district, community etc.

While it is being said that two MLAs, Jupally Krishna Rao and Koppula Eshwar, are certain to be included in the second list, the others who are in the race are Chandu Lal, Srinivas Goud, Kova Lakshmi, (STs) and Konda Surekha.

KCR who had inducted 11 ministers on June 2 postponed the expansion as he was busy with administrative matters.
