Telangana government on Friday decided to conduct a comprehensive social survey of the state on 19 August. The four-lakh government employees in Telangana, including police in civil dress, will visit each household in the state to take up this ‘Intensive Household Survey’. Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has declared a public holiday on August 19 to enable smooth conduct of the survey, which will gather the following details of families in nearly 84 lakh households in the state.
