Toopran (Medak): Former minister Mohd Ali Shabbir, MLC, PCC Kisan Vibhag president M Kodanda Reddy, Telugu Desam district president Sasikala on Tuesday consoled the nine farmers injured in Monday’s lathi-charge at Narsingi. Shabbir handed over Rs 2,000 as assistance to each farmer. Later talking to the media, he and other leaders condemned the lathi-charge. He demanded suspension of the CI for lathi-charging the ryots. He demanded the government to pay Rs 50,000 to each injured farmer and to provide free power to the agriculture sector for nine hours. Kodanda Reddy called upon the TRS government to implement the promises made in the party’s election manifesto.
