Hyderabad: The Telangana state government led by KCR is working at an increased pace to set up the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) so as to enable the government to take up fresh recruitment drives for the benefit of youth and unemployed in the state. The concerned file for TSPSC set up has arrived at the Telangana CMO and shortly will be sent to Raj Bhavan seeking the final approval of the state Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan. The chances are bright for establishment of TSPSC in this week, added the general administration department of Telangana state. According to the sources, around 20,000 government jobs will be filled after establishment of the commission.

Though there is a provision in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill-2014 to entrust the responsibility of conducting recruitment exams to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) until TSPSC is formed, CM KCR explained that there were several practical difficulties in doing so. It is evident that the recruitment exams have been completely stalled in both the states since July last year.
