Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the water treatment scheme in the Armur town will be completed within a year. While addressing a mass gathering in this town of Nizamabad district, he criticised previous governments on their lethargic attitude towards development. The previous rulers announced a lot, but did nothing, he said.

He ensured that, there will not be any water problems in Armur town. He laid down foundation stone for the drinking water scheme, to be set up here with the budget of Rs 114 Crores. He bestowed the Armur town with a 100-bed hospital. He also said water will be provided for 18 villages by expanding Gutpa irrigation Scheme.

He restated that the transport tax on autos has already been repealed. Beedi labors will be paid Rs 1000 each and the handicapped will be given Rs 1500 as allowance after Diwali. Once again he gave assurance that the farmer loan waiver will be implemented at any cost. He reaffirmed that housing scheme for the poor will be taken up with new vision. A house worth 3, 5 lakh will be constructed for each, he added.
