Hyderabad: Ponnala Lakshmaiah, the Telangana PCC Chief, was given a shock by the congress Leaders of Warangal district. The Congress Party leaders of Warangal district boycotted the party review meeting. The leaders of the party are of the opinion that Warangal has failed to get the ZP Chairman post, despite the fact they have a majority number of members. They held Ponnala responsible for this untoward happening. Also, they wonder how one could attend the meeting chaired by a person who could not win in the elections in his own constituency despite being the PCC Chief.
From the other end, former ministers DK Aruna and Jana Reddy have called on Digvijay Singh at his residence in Delhi. DK Aruna has openly said that she has urged Digvijay Singh to consider her for the PCC Chief post, if there was any chance of changing the PCC Chief. But, Jana Reddy denied that he was in the race for the PCC Chief’s post.
The recent developments inside the Congress Party suggest that very soon there will be a change in the PCC structure. The shock Ponnala received in Warangal is yet another blow for him and clearly indicates the strong chances for his replacement.
