Thousands throng Ashta Laxmin Temple in Hyderabad

Thousands of devotees thronged Ashta Laxmi temple, Kothapet on the auspicious occasion of Vara Laxmi Puja. The temple symbolizes the Goddess of wealth Laxmi, decked up profusely. Different kinds of pujas were performed to Goddess Laxmi.

Devotees queued up since early morning. More than 20,000 devotees visited Ashta Laxmi temple in the morning hours and offered their ‘Nivedyam’ to Goddess Laxmi. Women dressed up colorfully to mark the festive fervor, participated in the special rituals performed during the day..

Before commencement of the Vratha, the priests performed ‘Kumkumarchana’, where thousands of devotees took part. ‘Vara Laxmi Vratham’, jointly organised by HMTV and The Hans India, commenced at 6 o’ clock. There are 500 women directly participated in this, while thousands of devotees attended and offered their prayers. HMTV provided live telecast of this ritual for two hours.

This event was successful with pomp and gaiety celebration and marked spiritual savor.
